Inspection

Identify damage faster and remedy it with drone inspections

Drone inspections provide RGB and thermal data that can be fed directly into your maintenance or asset management, without any system downtime.

Modern forest and crop monitoring from the air

Drones open up new possibilities for farmers, forestry businesses and agricultural cooperatives. With high-resolution sensors, we deliver precise data on plant health, forest stands and water balance, flexibly scheduled and georeferenced for analysis.

Sunlit pine forest

Monitor plant health

Multispectral imagery reveals plant stress and disease before they become visible. Targeted treatment instead of blanket application saves materials and protects yields.

Locate forest damage quickly

Specialised sensors detect bark beetle infestation and storm damage even in hard-to-reach areas. This allows you to take action before the damage spreads.

Optimise irrigation & save water

Thermal drone imagery pinpoints areas of water stress. Use resources efficiently and safeguard yields sustainably.

Assess yield potential for better planning

Drone flights provide precise data on the development and yield potential of your crops. A sound basis for harvest planning, logistics and marketing.

FAQ: Drone inspection for forestry and agriculture

How do you detect drought stress or diseased stands from the air?

Using multispectral imagery. Differences in vitality become visible in the images before they are noticeable from the ground. You can identify affected sub-areas and inspect them selectively.

How large an area can you cover in a single operation?

Large areas. With our own BVLOS operating authorisation, we also fly beyond visual line of sight and capture contiguous areas in a single operation instead of many individual flights.

Can you document storm and calamity damage in a forest stand?

Yes. We fly over the affected areas at short notice and document damaged areas and individual windthrows as a basis for clearance work, reporting and planning.

How often should an area be surveyed?

As often as your requirements demand: once for an inventory or repeatedly to compare changes over the course of a season.

When should aerial early detection of bark beetles take place?

From the first swarming flight in spring, then repeatedly until late summer, leaving time for clearance work between flights. Multispectral images reveal suspicious stress signatures before the crown changes colour; confirmation takes place on the tree.

What data do you receive for your forestry software or GIS?

Infestation maps, vitality maps and orthophotos as GeoTIFF and Shapefile files, plus a terrain model if LiDAR was flown. GeoTIFF and Shapefile files can be loaded directly into QGIS or ArcGIS; we coordinate the import into your forestry software with you in advance.

How does drone data support forest conversion and reforestation?

You can see gaps in the stand, regeneration and height structure across the entire area rather than at individual points. With LiDAR, we can also capture the terrain beneath the canopy. This allows you to plan planting, maintenance and road construction using up-to-date data.

Can you document wildlife damage in fields and crops?

Yes. We capture damaged areas, damage patterns and affected proportions from the air and provide a map as a basis for reporting and coordination. Our owner is an appointed game warden and contributes practical hunting expertise to the documentation.

Safety First

Our operating authorisations

FlyHigh is approved for drone flights in Germany, Poland, Switzerland and Austria - including urban zones and sensitive airspaces. Other EU countries can be added within 2-4 weeks.

within populated areas

near critical infrastructure

over factory or construction site areas

below regular airspace

The approvals are based on standardized risk analyzes (PDRA / SORA) and require extensive security measures, which we fulfill as a certified provider.
